HP on Her Knees in Front of the Oracle? PC's Spinning and Printers Sold Off - YIKES!

Those rapscallions over at Seeking Alpha are at it again. Planting the seeds of doubt, churning the waters of descent and setting red-flags aglow in HP marketing.

Hey, they only pick on you because you're the biggest, right?...yeah...sure.

The article referenced has aged a year but the story is more delicious today predicting Oracle to come in and do a Gordon Gekko on HP.

From the article:

"...buying HP could allow Oracle to more effectively compete with International Business Machines (IBM). Since Oracle has a history of making acquisitions and because currently low interest rates make financing takeover deals very cheap, a deal could be an "October Surprise" that might lift the shares back to more reasonable levels..."

Imagine putting arch-frenemy Larry Ellison in charge and watching the prodigal son, Mark Hurd return.  That kind of drama would make the Mopier, Hawk, Edgeline and ThinkPad all worth the price of admission.

More:

"...The printer business could also make sense to spin-off to shareholders or to sell..."

How many more times are we going to hear that?

"Ignore this..."
If the stock continues down and reports at sub-$16, could we be in for an October treat or a Devil's Night trick?

Either way, between now and the end of the world...I mean year...we've got Windows8, new Apple iToys, HP's demise or rise, elections, the great alignment AND the end of the Mayan calendar.

Phew.

Break out the popcorn.
